Jodi Daubney

Managing Director

Jodi founded Magna with her father, John, and brother, Adam, in 2008. Having owned businesses which had previously focused on taxi credit hire, the family chose to concentrate on the commercial and specialist vehicle sector. She is responsible for the strategy, leadership and overall management of Magna and has a strong belief in fairness and honesty which she drives through the business. Jodi sits on the board of The CHO and The GTA Technical Committee.

Tom Kerr (Dip CII)

Operations Director

After working as a claims hander with Magna for 6 years and leaving to work at an insurance broker, Tom returned in 2020 to take on the role of Operations Manager and soon become Operations Director. Tom is passionate about Magna and is responsible for the day to day operations of the business and the continuous development of its internal systems and processes.

Kelly Jakes 

Head of Business & HR

Kelly has been with Magna since 2017 when she joined to help with some admin! Kelly is fully invested in the Magna family and everything she does is focused on what is best for the business. She manages everything HR related and looks after all our team’s well-being. She oversees the business support department and controls customer complaints and resolutions, working very closely with the rest of the management team.   

Tessa Walker 

Head of Claims & Technical Lead

Tessa joined Magna in 2010 and her experience and knowledge has grown with the company. In her current role she oversees all claims which we receive, ensuring a smooth journey for each client, even in the most difficult of circumstances. If there is something to know about credit hire and claims, then Tessa knows it and she is an integral part to the operation of Magna and our continued success.

James Plowright (Cert CII)

Head of Recoveries 

James joined us as a graduate in 2014 and began as a claims handler. It soon became clear that he was better suited for chasing money from difficult insurers than dealing with our clients! James has profound expertise in credit hire and all relevant case law and has built positive relationships with a number of insurers to help with the negotiation of settlements for the recoveries team.

Will Sanders  

Hire Department Manager

Will is the newest member of our leadership team, having joined Magna in 2021. He has recently taken on this role andis exceptional at managing his team, working closely with Nicole as the Hire Department Assistant Manager. Will and the whole team have a brilliant awareness of the different specifications of vehicles and ensure that our own fleet is best utilised, strategically using our many supply partners to service our clients nationwide.
